Date And Walnut Cake Recipe Without Egg| No Oil No Butter No Sugar Cake| Xmas Dry Fruit Cake Part 1

It’s December guys! Time to make loads of dry fruit cake all through the month! In this video, I have shown you a delicious date and walnut cake recipe without egg and without oven. But if you want to add egg just add 2 eggs and decrease the quantity of curd by ¼ cup. And, I have given oven-baking instructions too, so you will face no difficulty in baking your cake in the oven 😀 too.

Chocolate Date and Walnut Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Jaggery powder – ½ cup
  • Hot milk – ½ cup
  • Fresh curd – ¾ cup
  • Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
  • Baking soda – ½ tsp
  • Wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Milk powder – ¼ cup
  • Cocoa powder – ¼ cup
  • Baking powder -1 tsp
  • Dates – ¼ cup (chopped & seedless)
  • Walnuts – ¼ cup (chopped)

Method:

  1. Take a bowl and soak jaggery powder in hot milk for 10 minutes. It will help the jaggery powder to get dissolved in milk.
  2. After 10 minutes, give it a good mix to ensure all the jaggery lumps are dissolved in milk.
  3. Now add curd and vanilla essence to the solution. Mix well.
  4. Add baking soda into the mixture and leave it for 5 minutes so that it can react with the acid of curd.
  5. After 5 minutes, you will see the mixture has thickened and loads of air bubbles on the surface.
  6. Now sieve all the dry mix (wheat flour, milk powder, cocoa powder &baking powder) to the wet mix.
  7. Mix well so that all the dry ingredients are dissolved. Do not over mix!
  8. Now add dates and walnuts to the batter, and give it a final mix.
  9. Take a greased cake tin and pour the cake batter into it.
  10. Bake it at 180°C for 35-45 minutes (oven)/ bake it on low flame in a kadai for 35-45 minutes.
  11. Serve it when cooled completely. Enjoy!
