you crave for garlic bread toast? My homemade bread with instant dry yeast
recipe will change your concept of eating bread! Just try this garlic bread
recipe once at your home, make your own garlic butter (as I mentioned) and
toast the bread slices… your own homemade divine garlic bread toast is ready!
I have used bread flour in this recipe. You
can use all-purpose flour instead. Bread flour is costly available so I have
shown an easy and affordable way to prepare bread flour at your own kitchen.
Enough talking… let’s start with the recipe
guys.
Ingredients:
For garlic bread loaf,
- All-purpose flour – 2 cups – 2 tbsp
- Wheat gluten – 2 tbsp
- Sugar – 1 tbsp
- Instant dry yeast – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Milk (lukewarm) – 1.5 cups
- Garlic (grated) – 1 tbsp
- Butter (room temperature) – 1 tbsp
For garlic butter,
- Butter – 2 tbsp
- Garlic – 7-8 medium-sized cloves
- Black pepper powder – ½ tsp
- Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
Method of baking bread
- Mix wheat gluten and all-purpose flour in a bowl to prepare 2 cups homemade bread flour.
- Add sugar, yeast, salt and milk to the flour. Mix well and prepare a sticky dough.
- 1st proofing – cover it and rest for 15 minutes.
- Now take the dough on a rolling mat and knead it for at least 7-10 minutes to develop gluten.
- Put the dough in a greased bowl.
- 2nd proofing – cover it and rest in a warm place for 1 – 1.5 hours.
- Punch the dough and make the gas out of it. Take it back on the rolling mat.
- Stretch the dough, fold it and tuck well. Repeat the process a few times and put it inside a greased bread tin.
- 3rd proofing - Cover it and rest for another 30 minutes.
- Now prepare garlic butter by boiling all the ingredients together.
- Apply garlic butter on the top of the bread.
- For kadai baking, bake it inside a preheated kadai for 25-35 minutes on medium flame. (Spread salt on the base of the kadai and put a ring cutter or a bowl or a plate on the salt to increase height from the bottom of the kadai. Then start preheating the kadai!)
- Take the bread tin out of the kadai when bread is baked.
- Apply garlic butter again on the top of the bread.
- Wrap the bread with a wet cloth and rest it for 4 hours.
- Unwrap the bread and cut slices of it.
Tips:
You can apply prepared garlic butter on the
bread slices and toast them to have your own delicious garlic bread toasts at
home! Enjoy!
