ideal time for baking. Christmas is knocking the door! Get set go guys!
Last week I have
shared my Cinnamon Tutti Frutti Bread recipe with you. And, the saga will be
continued through the December month!😊 More recipes are coming on my YouTube channel.✌
In this video, I have
shared my favourite homemade bread parcel with chicken recipe. If you are
looking for bread chicken recipes for snacks with less oil, you may like this
recipe. The entire quantity I have used in the recipe is 1 tbsp oil + ½ tbsp
butter. That’s it! And, except for chicken, I have stuffed the bread parcels with
some healthy vegetables too!
So, without talking
much describing the chicken bread parcels, let’s start talking about the
recipe.
Ingredients:
For bread,
- Wheat flour – 1 cup/ 150 gm
- Salt – ¼ tsp
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Oregano – ¼ tsp
- Ginger powder – ¼ tsp
- Instant dry yeast – 1 tsp
- Lukewarm water – ½ cup/ as required
- Oil – 1 tbsp oil
For stuffing,
- Butter – ½ tbsp
- Garlic flakes/ chopped fresh garlic – ½ tsp
- Chopped onion – 1 tbsp
- Chopped capsicum – 1 tbsp
- Yellow corn – 1.5 tbsp
- Chopped boneless chicken – 50 gm
- Piri Piri masala – ¼ tsp
- Pizza seasoning – ¼ tsp
- Haldi powder – ¼ tsp
- Salt – ¼ tsp
- Schezwan sauce – 1 tsp
For making parcel,
- Suji/ cornmeal – ¼ cup/ as required
- Water – to wet fingers
- Veg Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
- Grated Cheese – processed/ any of your choice
Method:
- Take flour, salt, sugar, oregano, ginger powder and yeast in a bowl. Add lukewarm water in parts and form a sticky dough.
- Knead the dough for 7-10 minutes.
- Add oil to the dough. Mix well.
- Put the dough in a greased bowl. Cover it with a plastic wrap/ wet towel and rest it for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Take a non-stick kadai. Add butter to it.
- Add garlic flakes and sauté for a few seconds.
- Add onion, capsicum, corns and chicken, and stir for a few more seconds.
- Add all the masalas and stir for 2 minutes.
- Add schezwan sauce and give a final stir for a few more seconds.
- The chicken filling is ready. Turn off the flame.
- After 1 hour, the dough is doubled in size. Cut it into four equal pieces. Make balls of them.
- Take a ball and roll it flat. Fold three sides of it to give it a triangular shape.
- Put ½ tsp veg mayonnaise in the middle of the triangle. Put some filling on it. Spread grated cheese on it.
- Wet your fingers and make the three ends well as well before folding it.
- Take three ends together, press and ensure it is locked.
- Prepare all the four parcels in a similar manner.
- Put them on a baking tray. Bake at 210°C
for 20 minutes.
- Bread parcels are ready to serve now!
