Chocolate Ombre Cupcakes No Egg| 2
Tone Chocolate Vanilla Frosting| Easy 3 Layered Marble Cupcakes|
Hi Friends!
This time I have
brought cupcakes recipe for you. Chocolate ombre cakes are my favourite as it
includes the combined flavours of vanilla and chocolate in multiple layers. I tried
to bring a similar effect in my ombre cupcakes too.
Whatever you make, presentation
is important. Make your ombre cupcakes more gracious by serving it with 2 tone chocolate
vanilla frosting. I have shared an easy tutorial too in this video to show you
how to do that.
And, for making the
layers in the ombre cupcakes, I have used both chocolate sauce (for the light
chocolate layer) and cocoa powder (for the dark chocolate layer). The recipe is
‘No Egg’ too, hence I have used both fresh curd and condensed milk to make my
cupcakes moist and fluffy.
So, without wasting
much time, let’s get started with the recipe!
How to make Ombre Cupcakes
Ingredients
For cupcakes,
- Fresh curd – ½ cup
- Condensed milk – ¼ cup
- Powdered sugar – ½ cup
- Oil (no odor) – ¼ cup
- All-purpose flour – 1 cup
- Baking powder – 1 tsp
- Baking soda – ½ tsp
- Salt – ¼ tsp
- Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
- Milk – ¼ cup
- Chocolate sauce – 1 tbsp
- Cocoa powder – 1.5 tbsp
For frosting,
- Whipping cream – 100 ml
- Cocoa powder – 1 tbsp
Method:
- Mix curd, condensed milk, powdered sugar and oil together in a bowl. Make a smooth batter out of it.
- Add all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, vanilla essence and milk together. Mix well until no dry ingredients are visible. Do not over mix.
- Divide the cupcake batter into three equal halves.
- Add chocolate sauce to one portion and cocoa powder to another one. Leave the third portion as it is.
- Pour these three cupcake batters in three different piping bags.
- Take a cupcake tray. Put paper cups in the moulds. Grease all them with butter/ oil.
- Now pour cocoa powder mix first as the 1st layer in the paper cups. Tap the tray multiple times. Next, add chocolate sauce mix on it as the 2nd layer of the cupcakes. Tap the tray again. Finally, add vanilla cake batter on the top as the 3rd layer of cupcakes. Tap the tray for the final time.
- Bake the cupcakes in a
preheated oven at 180°C for 20-30 minutes.
- Cool the tray for half an hour.
- Take chilled whipping cream in a bowl. Beat it for 4 minutes with an electric mixer on high speed.
- Add vanilla essence and again mix for a minute or until stiff peaks form.
- Now divide the whipped cream in two parts. Add cocoa powder to a portion. Mix well.
- Take a piping bag and pour vanilla cream frosting in it. Press the bag with your fingers so that cream spreads everywhere around the edges.
- Pour chocolate cream in the middle of the bags and lock the bag from the end.
- Pipe 2 tone chocolate vanilla frosting on the ombre cupcakes and serve with some sprinklers on top.
- Enjoy!
