special occasion or just to satisfying our sweet tooth, we all love to have a
few bites of any delicious sweets especially after meals, right? That’s why I
brought to you three super yummy and popular dessert recipes of India on this
Navaratri.
What to delay for? Let’s
get started with the palatable recipes of sewai katori- which is my favourite, coconut
ladoo – the most traditional one and chocolate milk peda – one of the popular
milk powder dessert recipes.
How to make Chocolate Sewai Katori - Chocolate
Sewai Katori Recipe
Ingredients
For chocolate ganache –
- Dark chocolate- 100 gm
- Whipping cream/ fresh cream – 100 ml/3.38 oz
- Butter – ½ tbsp
- For Sewai Katori –
- Sewai – 150 gm
- Desi ghee – ½ tbsp
- Cinnamon powder – ¼ tsp
- Condensed milk – 3 tbsp
For Serving –
- Colourful sprinklers
Method
- First, you need to prepare the chocolate ganache. Take cream into a sauce pan and put it on the flame. Let it come to a simmer. Switch off the flame. Put chocolates into it and cover it for a minute. Now open the lid, and put butter into the hot mix. Stir continuously with a spatula until you get a smooth & shiny chocolate ganache.
- Cool it and put it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Take a kadhai and put it on the flame. Add ghee, make it hot. Put cinnamon powder and the sewai/ semui/ vermicelli in the ghee. Stir continuously until you get a golden colour.
- Now add condensed milk into the sewai and mix well. Switch off the flame.
- Take one or two spoonful sewai inside the muffin cups and give them ‘katori’ like structure. For doing so, take help of a spoon or any round flat end utensil. Set them aside for a while.
- Take the chocolate ganache out of the fridge and whip it using an electric beater. After the ganache is whipped enough (after 5 minutes!), take it into a piping bag and pipe ganache on the sewai cups.
- Serve your chocolate sewai cups with sprinklers on top. Enjoy!
